Description

Green River Lake State Park is a recreational paradise in south-central Kentucky. This 8,200-acre lake provides excellent opportunities for any water sport. Relax in one of the 157 (Standard Electric) improved campsites, 72 tents(no electric or water), 50 overflow(none). Go for a swim at the sand beach or play a game of mini golf. Planned recreation for the children camping. Twenty eight miles of multiple use trails for hiking, horses and biking.

The park now has WIFI connection capability. The access code can be purchased at the Campground Booth. Variable rates apply:

30 Day passes are no longer available.

One RV per site due to electric restrictions. Pets allowed - must be kept on leash or restrained. Quiet time begins at 11:00 pm. Generators may not be operated during these hours. No visitors After 11:00 pm. Check out time is 1:00 pm. No more than (2) visitor passes shall be issued per site. Alcoholic beverages, firearms, & fireworks are prohibited.

The park would like you to know that if more than 4 adults are going to be on the site, an additional $5.00 per night per adult will be collected at the park.

Only one adult tent & one child tent are allowed on all tent sites. Additional tent fees on standard sites are $23 or $33 depending on the location. Green River only allows one adult tent and one child's tent per each tent site (children must use tent).
On our water and electric sites we allow one adult tent and one child's tent (children must use tent), however if they wish to have two adult tents, they must pay the same site price for the second adult tent.

Non-licensed vehicles (golf carts etc) can only be used by those with a disability.

Please note:

The maximum reservation window is 12 months in advance to the date.

New Inventory is made available when the call center opens.

There is a 1 night minimum stay during the week at all parks.

There is a 2 night minimum stay on peak season weekends at all parks with the exception of the Kentucky Horse Park.

The minimum stay on peak season weekends at the Kentucky Horse Park is 1 night.

Customers may arrive on a Friday or Saturday and stay a minimum of two nights.

Customer service is authorized to fill in any empty spaces caused by the 2-night weekend stay rule.

Please note the following:

Longer minimum night stays are required at most campgrounds during holiday periods.

Parks prohibits the importation firewood by campers from any state outside of Kentucky. This is in an effort to help prevent the introduction of the Emerald Ash Borer into the state. Firewood is available for sale in the state park campgrounds.http://parks.ky.gov/regulations/firewood.htm

Please note that the Kentucky Department of Parks permits the use of non-licensed vehicles in campgrounds, including golf carts, only by those individuals with a disability. This policy will be enforced for the safety of all guests.

Kentucky Campground sites can be occupied by a maximum of 8 occupants. Four (4) adults and children 16 and under are included in the base rate. Each additional adult is $5.00 per night will be collected upon arrival at the park.

Green River Lake State Park is approx. 85 miles from Louisville & Lexington. From Campbellsville, Hwy 55 South, 4 mi. turn on 1061, 2 miles park entrance. Bowling Green, approx. 90 miles, exit 43/ Cumberland Pkwy. Take Exit 49/Hwy 55 North through Columbia-approx 15 mi-turn on 1061, 2 miles park entrance.
