With more than 52,000 acres of water and 1,225 miles of shoreline, Lake Cumberland is considered one of the finest fishing and boating areas in the Eastern United States. Perched high above the watery expanse, the park offers visitors a wide array of recreational opportunities, from tennis to trails. Plenty to do at Lake Cumberland State Resort Park both on and off the lake.Geography:
Lake Cumberland State Resort Park is located in Russell County Kentucky, just south of Jamestown, on the northwestern edge of Lake Cumberland.
Recreation:
Lake Cumberland has an abundance of largemouth, smallmouth, white and Kentucky bass, bluegill, crappie, rockfish, and walleye. The State Dock offers both open and covered slips up to 100' long with rental fishing boats, pontoon boats, and ski boats. The 18-hole miniature golf course is perfect for family fun, April-November, and the 18-hole disc golf course is available year round. A four-mile loop trail around the Lure Lodge area and a 1.5-mile one-way trail (3 miles total including return) let hikers enjoy the forest. Interpretive programs on native plants, animals, and local history are conducted at various times throughout the year by a full-time naturalist, and daily summer activities are conducted by recreation staff.
Facilities:
The Rowena Landing Restaurant is located inside the beautiful Lure Lodge. The 63-room Lure Lodge overlooks beautiful Lake Cumberland and Pumpkin Creek Lodge offers 13 rooms. Thirty cottage, including Wildwood cottages featuring fireplaces, round out the available accommodations. A picnic shelter is available for rent and includes tables, grills, and restrooms. Picnic area are scattered throughout the park.
Quiet hour begins at 11pm (Central). Check-out time is 1:00pm (Central) on the day the permit expires.
Electricity pedestals are almost all shared between two sites.
Check-In Procedure: The campground guard shack is closed and unmanned. Check-in and registration is located at the P.E.R.C.H. - the first building on the right, past the campground entrance. For assistance, please 270.343.3111.

There is a 1 night minimum stay during the week at all parks.
There is a 2 night minimum stay on peak season weekends at all parks with the exception of the Kentucky Horse Park.
The minimum stay on peak season weekends at the Kentucky Horse Park is 1 night.
Customers may arrive on a Friday or Saturday and stay a minimum of two nights.
Customer service is authorized to fill in any empty spaces caused by the 2-night weekend stay rule.

Longer minimum night stays are required at most campgrounds during holiday periods.
Parks prohibits the importation of firewood by campers from any state outside of Kentucky. This is in an effort to help prevent the introduction of the Emerald Ash Borer into the state. Firewood is available for sale in the state park campgrounds.

Golf carts are allowed in the campground by purchasing a permit at check-in. Permits are $25 for the week or $100 for the calendar year. Annual permits can be used at all Kentucky State Park campgrounds and the Kentucky Horse Park. Disabled guests are not required to purchase a permit if they display their disability hanging tag.
