Taylorsville Lake State Park is a favorite of both wranglers and anglers. The park sits on 3,050-acre Taylorsville Lake, where anglers can vie for bass, bluegill and crappie. The 1,200-acre park encompasses some of the most beautiful riding country around, not far away from Kentucky's biggest city.Geography:

Recreation:
The wonderful 16-mile trail system on this park is managed as multi-use trails for hikers, mountain bikers, and horseback riders. A day on the lake is a glorious opportunity at Taylorsville Lake. Rent a fishing boat and cast for bass, bluegill or crappie; schedule cruising time on one of the marinas pontoon boats, or launch your own from four launching ramps. The marina has open and covered slips, gas, food, and fishing equipment.
Facilities:
Camp out in Taylorsville Lakes RV campground, which has a central service building with laundry. Ten sites of the campground are set aside for horse camping. These sites have water and electricity and share the RV camp's laundry room.
We continue to have delays in construction at our campground. Due to this, it is necessary to remain closed through 8/21/25.
Kentucky Campground sites can be occupied by a maximum of 8 occupants. Four (4) adults and children 16 and under are included in the base rate. If more than 4 adults are going to be on the site, an additional $5.00 per night per adult will be collected upon arrival at the park. Max units per site is (2) and may include (1) camper unit + (1) tent. If no camper unit, then (2) tents is the max allowed.
Guests are prohibited from damaging trees or any part of a tree for firewood. The damaging of park property is strictly prohibited and unlawful under KRS.
All tents must remain on site & are not permitted in grassy areas.
Please note that the Kentucky Department of Parks permits the use of non-licensed vehicles in campgrounds, including golf carts, only by those individuals with a disability. This policy will be enforced for the safety of all guests.
